      Interview

Multiple rounds It would be weeks in between each one to so took forever, the pay was too low for requiring 6 rounds and a project company seems to have this attitude that since they are a great place to work candidates should be willing to do multiple rounds of interviews for weeks at a time with no feedback

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara

      Interview

The initial phone screen was ok, but from there the process dipped. I hadn’t been provided any info or phone numbers both times and so it resulted in last minute emails to know how to reach them. For the second round it was a zoom interview which once again no information was provided. I had reached out to the recruiter to confirm and she didn’t t respond until a few minutes before the interview. Still, when it came time the person who was interviewing me emailed me he didn’t have my contact info or phone number (which I’d provided to the recruiter after my last email). She also didn’t respond to my thank you email. These are pretty minor details but it did make a little flustered when it came time to dial in. The actual interview was pretty confusing. It felt like the manger didn’t take the time to read my resume and understand even the title of my current position. It was less of me sharing about myself and my skill set and more about walking him through why I moved out of the Bay Area for a portion of my career. It felt like a waste of time and also that I was being unfairly judged for something that had been apparent the whole time. He also didn’t understand my timeline and had trouble putting together that I had experience in customer success prior to my current company. He told me he couldn’t find it on my resume until I promoted him with the title and it felt like he was trying to catch me in something. He was pretty unorganized and kept looking at the clock as well as rubbing his face the whole time. It seemed like he was pretty stressed out and that he hadn’t had a lot of experience in how important professionalism and non verbal cues are to a typical Zoom interview. The conversation mostly revolved around explaining my choices in my career and then it ended pretty abruptly with hardly any time to talk about the actual role. I was told I was a good fit experience wise with comparable skills and they would be following up. I received a rejection email a few days later.

      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Samsara in Feb 2026

      Interview

The director reached out to me directly on LinkedIn and urged me to apply. The interview process was clear. This consisted of a series of two individual interviews and then a mock presentation. All went well, or so I think, I never received any feedback. My negative experience comes from the fact that I never heard from a team member, even with a rejection notice, despite multiple follow-ups.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (Toronto, ON) in May 2025

      Interview

Samsara is very efficient and doesn’t waste anyones time on scheduling and following up with interviews. Their team is clearly considerate and even has auto emails asking for feedback on their interview process. Had 5 rounds for their midmarket (scaled) CSM role. Rounds are: phone screening, hiring manager call, call with multiple hiring managers, take home test and review of said test, and final round is with executive leadership.
