I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Samsara
Interview
The PX person arranged a general phone screen with me. I currently work for a large conglomerate that does business in many industries, and 1 of those industries is Transportation. But I don't have experience in transportation and its very clear in my profile. If industry is so important to them, they should double check prior to setting up interview. I wasted hours preparing for no reason.

Interview
Good and positive experience. Walking thru the process was very useful. Initial screening focus based on the experience one had. And feedback provided as a follow up. Enough time was provided to the candidate to answer the questions and ask any clarifications or follow up queries.

What is your most challenging and risk taking work
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Samsara in Aug 2025
Interview
Extensive process involving many rounds - recruiter screen, hiring manager screen, take-home case, interview loop/panel with live case and behavioral, and then exec call. The exec I spoke with was not prepared for the interview and the call itself felt very disorganized. In my experience, the only interview that truly mattered was the exec call -- the rest of the rounds, case study, etc are a lot of time and effort for very little return, no matter how well you perform.

Most questions are behavioral "tell me about a time when X" style questions, just like Amazon's leadership principle-based questions. Follow the STAR format and you'll do well.
