Samwoh IT Systems Engineer interview questions

While interviewer was polite, he appeared shocked and disturbed that I had no industry certifications. It was clear that he didn't read my resume, as he would have then found out I didn't list any certifications. If certifications are an absolute requirement, why ask candidates with no certifications for interviews?
