I applied for a position that closely aligned with my background and experience. The process began with an interview with HR, followed by a successful onsite interview with the hiring manager. I also met with the Associate Director of IT and felt confident in the quality and depth of my responses throughout our discussion.
With several years of IT experience at highly regarded global companies, I was surprised by the tone of the interaction. At times, it felt as though my experience and knowledge were being minimized rather than meaningfully engaged. The interview also began late, and the interviewer appeared unprepared. The meeting was cut short due to another commitment, which left the discussion feeling rushed and incomplete.
Additionally, I was scheduled to meet with HR afterward, but that meeting did not take place.
Overall, the experience raised concerns for me about professionalism and leadership. Based on the interview process, I concluded that this may not be the right environment for me.
