I interviewed at Santander (Three Bridges, England)
Interview
Applied online, nothing too difficult, uploaded my CV and put all of my personal details and the usual application questions like if I worked there before or not and all the diversity and equality questions. I got a call within two weeks and the video interview as arranged within a week.
I interviewed at Santander (Royal Leamington Spa, England)
Interview
I applied online and was quickly invited to complete a video interview and game-based assessments, likely triggered automatically after ATS screening. I completed everything the next day.
However, after waiting four weeks, I received a rejection email stating that other candidates’ education, experience, and skills were a closer match. This decision seems to have been made during human review after the assessments, which means candidates invest significant time and effort before the fit is even evaluated.
The process could be improved by applying clearer upfront filtering criteria and providing earlier feedback, so candidates’ time and energy are respected. Overall, the experience felt inefficient and could benefit from more timely communication.
