      Customer Service Associate Interview

      31 Aug 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Santander (London, England)

      Interview

Applied online and did the initial data tests, etc. Recieved a phone call the day after asking to schedule a telephone interview which I scheduled for the next day. Telephone interview consisted of three questions: one about a time we showed excellent service, one about a time I identified a risk and made sure it would not happen again and one asking why I would like to work at Santander. They told me there that they would like to invite me for a face to face interview and they would be in touch. The next day she phoned me and we scheduled an interview, she then emailed me the list of questions the interviewer was going to ask me so I was prepared. In the interview itself, it was kind of like good cop bad cop. One was friendly and welcoming and the other was cold and frosty and quite rude. The first part of the interview was the data/number test, if you have done higher GCSE maths then you will find it easy. Hardest question was about finding 37% of around 3.60 then deducting it, so not hard really. After that they went through the questions with me which lasted around an hour. There was then two scenario questions: one about a customer complaint and one about a day to day thing. They told me they would be in touch either way but they never bothered to contact me. Oh well.
