I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Santander (Reading, PA) in July 2014
Interview
Long, arduous and detailed.
Spent an inordinate amount of money on FBI background, printing at UPS, travel, and then food. Their process lasted longer than the job, which ended during training due to the predatory and nasty power trips of 18 year olds with their first job.

They asked me why I did not want direct deposit upon hire. I don't have any bank accounts.
It was straightforward. Applied online. Got a call to schedule a in-person interview with the branch manager. Questions were simple. Come prepared with answer about questions regarding customer service. Also emphasize your ability to upsell products and services the bank offers. That will really catch your interviewer's attention.
Sit down with the district manager who asks you basic interview questions. Asked about my experience, and other common interview questions. Overall it was pretty painless and not bad to get through.
