I interviewed for a role at SCRI and completed three rounds of interviews. Throughout the process, I was polite, professional, and enthusiastic about the role and contributing to the team. After waiting two weeks following my final interview, I sent a courteous follow-up email to the hiring manager asking if there were any updates as she was my last point of contact.
Unfortunately, I never received a response. However, when I checked the application portal a couple days later, I discovered my status had been updated to "No Longer Under Consideration," without any communication or explanation. So, I was ghosted once I was not the selected candidate.
The lack of closure and communication at the end was very disappointing and unprofessional. I hope the company improves its candidate experience in the future.
