I applied online. I interviewed at Satair

      Interview

First round is via video where you record yourself answering a series of questions. Very impersonal and no opportunity to ask questions about the company or role. It took six weeks to hear back from them, and my follow up email was ignored for a further two weeks. After being invited to an on-site interview and arriving, I spoke to a man at the front desk, who rudely rolled his eyes at me when I misheard his question about my name. Then two workers from HR walked me to another building down the road. The two were quite content to walk in silence, and left it entirely to me to make the small talk. This was a huge red flag to me, as they both seemed that they'd rather be anywhere than where they were. More than anything though, it just felt really awkward. The interview itself was with the two HR people, and two other senior members of the team (who were a lot more animated and personable). The questions were all very straight forward and easy to answer. But I did not feel like my questions to them were answered very thoroughly, and walked away without a very clear understanding of the role. I left the interview with the impression that the company is very 'old school' corporate, lacks any youth, energy or passion, and does not have a very friendly or inclusive culture - as when I asked about the team culture the responses made it quite clear that there isn't any. In short, the rude receptionist, cold HR people, and lack of them selling the company/role made it a very easy decision to reject the job offer. Of course I might be misjudging the company based on these few experiences, and it might be a fantastic place to work. But from start to finish this was not a very nice interview process.
