It was through a recruiter. I was asked to participate in 2 interviews. One interview with local partners and the other with national ones. It felt like a disjointed process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my current firm. It seemed like they were on a bit of a fishing expedition. They wanted to know about partnership tax structure
It was very awkward. It was a zoom OCI one of the partners showed up late. They didn’t send me a follow up until weeks later when I had already seen people post that they had gotten job offers. I feel that if you are not giving me a callback then you can let me know at least before you start extending offers.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Saul Ewing LLP (New York, NY)
Interview
Very standard. Two rounds, both virtual. First was 20 minute screener and very standard questions about why I chose the law school I did and why I applied to the firm. The second being with two partners and two associates, with a lot of repeat questions.
