It was very structured and they had a great team who I met with. Nice renovated building and lots of benefits. PE firm guys Ed and Lew were very involved in the day to day of each of their 12 companies
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Scaleworks
Interview
Interviewed at several portfolio companies. Initial conversations were very strong. Recruiters demonstrated strong interest.
During interview experience one the hiring manager from company A and I had a great conversation. She was very complementary and pretty much told me I was what she needed on her team. I was invited to their office at a TBD date. Then, the inevitable "ghosting occured".
A few months later I had an interview with another recruiter regarding "company B". Similarly the recruiter and hiring manager were very complementary. Once again, I was invited for an in person discussion as early as that same day...then once again I was ghosted.
I should also note that I have friends that have interviewed at various portfolio companies at Scaleworks. They report similar experiences - great initial conversations then the inevitable ghosting.
Based on these interviews it appears that they offer below average compensation. They attempt to make up for the lower compensation by touting their office location and company culture. They also seem to compensate via inflated titles instead of tangible compensation benefits.

I should note, many months later both positions (or a variation of them) still seem to be posted in various online forums. Given the young organizations under the Scaleworks portfolio it appears their immaturity is showing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very conversational. Friendly and high level conversation.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Scaleworks (Kraków) in June 2016
Interview
First: phone call;
Second: metting;
Third: task;
Fourth: Technical meeting;
Fifth: Phone offer;
It took about a week for final offer, mostly because of time which I was doing task (I didn't have a lot of time to prepare it earlier). I think that it could be much less, if I would send finished task earlier. :-)
