The interview process started out positive but quickly declined. Started with a phone interview with corporate, then after that, I was asked to complete a project to test my technical skills for the role, as well as a screening test that had questions related more towards general intelligence and personality traits. After that, I moved on to a video interview with corporate again, and then finally to an in-person interview at the NY office. This was a very lengthy process but since I was moving through all of the steps fairly quickly, I felt good about my candidacy. However, once I completed the last step of the interview process, I was told I would hear back in about 1 week regardless of whether or not I was actually chosen. A week goes by; nothing. I email my contact there and was told to wait another week as they were still interview. Another week and goes by; still nothing. I email them yet again and was told that they are still waiting another week to make a decision and they would get back to me as soon as a decision was made, even if I was not the one chosen for the role. This process repeated yet ANOTHER time. and then I emailed yet again when they finally told me they decided to move forward with another candidate. This process took about a month, but three out of the four weeks were spent just waiting for an answer, which was constantly pushed back by them. Perhaps the worst part is that I was encouraged to complete all of my parts of the interview at a rapid pace, yet when it came to their end of the process, they did not show the same urgency. For an interview process that took up so much of my time and energy, the fact that I was chasing them down for answers the entire time was frustrating. I understand that sometimes the hiring process takes longer than anticipated, but at least keep your candidates in the loop so they aren't clueless as to what is happening.
