Referred by an employee. Connected with a sourcer, who was excellent and insightful throughout the entire process and followed through end to end. After several weeks of waiting, got a note that the original role was already filled but to try for another role as the team had recently lost one of its technical people and needed to be filled out. Accepted the challenge and finally connected with the hiring manager by phone, who asked about my interest in the role and company, and my solution to a case challenge. Upon a successful phone interview, was invited for a full day of grilling onsite interviews, consisting of a mix of 1:1 and panel interviews, as well as a lunch, spread across leadership, product team peers, an engineer, a designer, and a data analyst. Many culture fit and process questions, several case questions, and especial emphasis on experimentation and data. After a day, was told that while the hiring team really liked me and found me super qualified technically, I would not be a fit for this particular culture.
