I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ScribeAmerica (Salem, VA) in Nov 2018
Interview
I applied for the position on the company website and was invited for an interview after 1 month (it helps if you know someone currently working and they can help you get the hiring process started a little faster). They brought us in to a classroom at the hospital and talked about the company, the role of a scribe and benefits. We were then interviewed individually and later contacted about whether we received an off for the position.
After applying online with my resume, I had a 30 minute call with the hiring manager about the position. We discussed the job, my overall career goals, and expectations for the role. It was very straight forward and mostly focused on how being a scribe would support my future in the health care environment .
