I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Sears (Pune) in July 2012
Interview
I got a call from a friend of mine who is a Sears employee. She told me about the opening and I passed my CV to her. The HR team contacted me after 4 days and called me for an interview in their Pune office. I was amazed to see that the office has a mind blowing recruitment lounge, which resembled a posh hotel. The HR guys were so friendly and stood along us until the whole interview process went on. The best part was the videos that kept running on the TV screens. I knew from my friend that SHI harness a family culture in it's workplace but when I saw the videos I was engrossed with it.

Question 1
They did not ask me anything out of the blue, so it was all expected things. Questions on my technical experience with JAVA and some supporting theoretical explanations to balance the answer were all that were asked.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sears (Pune) in July 2012
Interview
I was working in a Accord IT Systems in Kolkata, when suddenly a senior
of mine told me that there was a good opening with SHI in Pune. I
expressed my interest and within a week the HR team called me for a
convenient time for a telephonic interview. The Technical lead called me
up and asked me some application based questions on Tomcat, Geronimo,
etc. After a day, I received an email from the HR team congratulating me
for clearing the first round and asked me to join the second round in
Pune.
Pune was entirely a new city for me and the HR assisted me initially to
locate the office correctly. On reaching the venue, I was greeted warmly
by the HR team and a lady escorted me to the recruitment lounge, which
was nothing less than the lounge of a 5* hotel. I was made comfortable
while I was palpitating a bit about the interview and the position like
most job seekers. I could not do much company related study before
reaching for the interview , thanks to the company's videos, which
helped to gather fine information about the company and its galore of
social activities. There was a group of tech heads who interviewed me on
various things- from technology to current affairs and more. This was
followed by a 1:1 HR round for salary negotiations.

Interview
I got a call from the HR team to attend an interview in their Pune office. The recruitment lounge was great, resembled like a five star hotel with company videos continuously running in the installed television sets. A member from the HR team collected my initial documents and told me to feel free out there. Before my turn came, I grabbed a bottle of coca cola and kept watching the company videos, sitting on the plush sofa!!
The HR team was very friendly and hospitable. They accompanied me to the boardroom where the interview panel was waiting for me. I was asked on various applications of Java and my co-curricular interests. The interview went well with me and the people in the panel were extremely sophisticated in their behavior and never attempted to confuse and puzzle the interviewee. I liked this part most.
