I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Security Industry Specialists (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
The hiring process was typical of a Security company. The usual questions were asked. I felt that after the process was finished I was critiqued about my overall interview which I had never had done before. But I do remember being told that my "dedication" was duly noted.
Initial interview via phone: 30 min. In-depth interview via zoom: 45 min. Answered all of my questions, even those that were difficult.. Very forthright and transparent. Gave great detail about company training and expectations.

Mostly soft skills and detail oriented in documenting what you observe. The job is mostly "observe and report" with a touch of customer service skills. As long as you can be polite, respectful, and great at documenting things, you'll do well in the interview.
