Overview
It was a bit of a lengthy process, starting with candidate exercise to weed out people. I went through a few interviews but ultimately did not get an offer.
Application
Submitted my resume during the weekend, and got a response the Monday after. My application was during quarantine and it looks like they have had the positions open since the beginning of the year.
They asked the candidate to do an exercise and allot you 1 week to respond. I spent the next couple of evenings working on it after I got off from work, I’d say it took me about 15-20 hours to do.
This moved me to a phone interview/screen.
HR Screen
I went through a basic HR screening process, where they provided some history about the company and what they do. They have been mostly a remote company so the transition during COVID19 has not really impacted their operations at all.
They asked me about my background and history and salary expectations. They then scheduled a meeting with the tech screen.
In the tech screen, a lot of technical questions were asked, and the atmosphere was fairly cooperative even if couldn't answer everything. At the end, it felt a bit rushed due to time.
Scheduling the next step took 2 more weeks and it was similar questions but less understanding.
