Instructional Designer, Global Customer Education & Advocacy Role Interview

      2 May 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Seismic (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2021

      Interview

Overall 3 rounds of interview - a screening video call with the recruiter, interview with the hiring Manager and then another interview with two team members, all of which lasted 45 minutes each. The interviews were conversation style and overall quite easy. I also had a positive experience until then. After the last interview round, the recruiter reached out saying that I did a great job and that unfortunately, due to some internal changes, the teams had to temporarily pause the interview processes on a temporary hold. She mentioned that they would like to apologize for the delay, and that they will definitely reach out again once they’re ready to proceed (which might not be till Jan 2022) Then January 2022 passed and I never heard back anything. I reached out to the recruiter asking for an update and apparently she had no idea and that she was now only hiring for technical roles! Does this sound like a candidate experience you’d like to go through? I understand things can change, but the nonchalance towards candidates’ time is absolutely unacceptable. Do better, please.
