      Business Development Manager Interview

      22 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Select Computing in Jan 2025

      Interview

Pure and utter amateur hour. At least their sham of an interview process was over rather quick, though. Owner and CEO Rashid Ishaq couldn't even be bothered to cut on his camera for a video interview. He's running a sloppy D-tier government consulting company and has the nerve to call me "green". Oh, and that's after he requested my references which I was told they were going to contact and never did. I was only notified they wouldn't be reaching out after I notified all my references. So that put me in an awkward position. Here's what "green" is to me. -Wasting time with a final round interview with someone that is "green" -Asking for references you don't intend to contact from someone you don't intend to hire is "green" -Looking for someone to add structure to your mess of a 4th rate GovCon then referring to their experience as "green", is "green" -Not appearing on cam as a CEO/President/Owner for an interview is "green" -Not having a actual booth for a govcon convention is "green" -Not being FedRAMP as a government contractor is "green" -A website that looks like something out of 2012 is "green" -Having virtually no social media presence in 2025 is "green"
