After being contacted and notified that they selected to interview me I scheduled a phone interview.
The phone interview was about 30 minutes long and consisted of several standard interview questions, which felt like were being read from a script. Very little actual conversation occurred.
After about a month, I was notified that they wanted to interview me in person. I showed up and met with the department manager as well as the team lead. The interview was a little more personal, but still consisted of the same standard interview questions.
Another month went by and I was asked to come in to do a half work day with the team to see how my work was. I came in and worked on a few projects, and was well compensated.
A couple weeks later, I was asked to come back in and do another work day. I again went in and again worked on a few small projects.
I followed up each week with the manager for about a month after this. She said that I had to do one more interview with the CEO. When I went in to finally interview with him, the interview was very casual, but he asked questions about my personal life. I personally am okay with this, but suggest that they don't ask such questions of future applicants.
About a month later, and after several follow ups, I finally was offered the position. At 25 cents more than I was currently making, which was no where near what I was paid during my half day work sessions.
