      Blog Editor Interview

      3 July 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Semrush (Dallas, TX) in May 2020

      Interview

I interviewed twice and, after passing a skills test, was advanced for a third interview. The people I spoke with were charming and professional, but the recruitment team was anything but. Ostensibly, they were recruiting for a position based remotely in the U.S., while the recruiting team is based in Prague. This resulted in interview requests at 4:00 and 5:00 AM that were repeatedly canceled and rescheduled over the course of seven weeks throughout long periods of unprofessional silence. I had long decided that this approach to recruitment indicated a problematic internal structure that I would ultimately decline, even had I received an offer. Pay close attention to their outreach and recruitment efforts if you're considering a position.
