I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Semrush in July 2025
Interview
The first round was a catch-up with someone from the People team, which lasted about an hour. They explained a bit about the company and the requirements of the role.
The second round was with the Data team and was more technical. They asked me questions related to technology, including SQL, dbt, and Python.
Unfortunately, I didn't pass this second round.

They asked about the different types of dbt materializations, gave me some SQL exercises, and asked how to optimize certain queries.
