Interview
Approximately ten days ago, I shared my initial experience with Semrush regarding a scheduled interview for the position of QA Engineer. Unfortunately, the interview was canceled just 15 minutes before the scheduled time, with the explanation that they were no longer seeking to fill the position.
After expressing my dissatisfaction with this unprofessional conduct and sharing my experience on Glassdoor, Semrush reached out to apologize and offered to reschedule the interview. I accepted their apology and the opportunity, as I believed in giving them the benefit of the doubt and seizing every professional opportunity available.
However, earlier today, I received another email from their HR department informing me that the rescheduled interview was also canceled, as the position had now been filled. This has left me questioning what circumstances led to this unusual treatment, given that I have no prior connection with Semrush - neither as an employee nor through collaboration.
Following this second cancellation, I politely thanked them and requested that they refrain from contacting me again for this or any future roles. If this is how they handle prospective candidates, I can only imagine the experience of their employees.
As such, I advise anyone considering applying to Semrush to carefully reflect on this experience before proceeding.
