I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sendero (College Station, TX) in Feb 2024
Interview
The interview process was pretty simple but was very oddly structured in a way that it was hard to determine what they wanted out of you. The first round of interviews was 2 interviews, 1 hour each with behavioral questions. Some of them were easy however some were like oddly specific and confusing in a manner.
The recruiting process in general is a bit off-putting. Not many of the newly hired consultants 1-2 years in, come from any sort of business background or even finance or accounting backgrounds if they are business.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had an idea that others did not agree with.
The interview process for Sendero at an associate level was very straightforward and simple. There were 2 back to back meetings that were behavioral and then a case in person at their HQ.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Sendero (Dallas, TX) in Sept 2025
Interview
Started with a brief screening call, and then did a 1 hour virtual behavioral interview with one manager. She asked about 5-6 behavioral questions. Then, I was asked to come in person for another behavioral interview. It was the same format as the virtual interview, and some of the questions were the same. I did not have a case study in any of my interviews. Make sure to be conversational. They want good answers, but they really want to know you are a culture fit. Make sure to start by genuinely trying to get to know your interviewer and answer your questions honestly and with the STAR structure. It's really straightforward and they want you to succeed.
