I interviewed for Sensyne in March for the position of Machine learning engineer.
First step was a standard call with HR to understand the role and interview process.
Then, I was given an exercise to complete over the weekend, followed by a technical interview with 3 ML engineers. The exercise was not difficult, but very time consuming. It took me several hours of work to analyse the dataset and come up with a good ML model. The technical interview was standard, with questions about my background and on general ML topics.
A few days after the interview, I received a message saying that the team liked my Engineering background, but also that they did not see me as a Senior ML Engineer, which is what they need. Considering that I applied for a non senior position, this felt very annoying and disorganised. If they thought my experience was not at the level they need, why put me through the process in the first place?
All in all, it was a very annoying interview experience and felt like a total waste of time. Nevertheless, HR and the engineers were nice and seemed knowledgeable.
