I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (New Delhi) in Jan 2013
Interview
There was written test to assess the writing skills of the candidate. After this, I was called in for interview process. Usually the panel asked question on the energy and environment sector, especially public policies. I was lucky as this was my area of interest. Apart from usual HR ice breaking questions, and questions about my previous job/experience following questions were asked:

What are responsibilities of regulatory agencies ? (on PAT question I had steered the discussion towards market regulator / sector regulatory agencies)
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (New Delhi)
Interview
I got to know about this position through an online job portal. It took them almost 2 weeks to give a call for the first round of interview i.e. written test. On the day of the interview the HR called 5-7 times to confirm a candidate's availability. The written test was a mix bag of trick and easy questions. Overall it was easy for a person with a flair for writing and some knowledge about the environment sector. So, I kept following up with them after the first round. After 5 days and 3 follow up emails they informed that I have been short-listed for the second round. Since it was a panel-interview, I sent a mail to the HR asking him about the brief for the said interview. No reply for the same. Again on the day of the interview, they kept calling and confirming whether I am coming for the interview or not. The interview was OK. Questions were moderately difficult. Though they praised their organisation a lot during the interview, their habit of not acknowledging receipt of any emails makes me doubt their sense of professionalism. Even after following up twice, I haven't heard anything from them.
