1. Phone interview with Director (the actual hiring manager).
--- I knew the Director from a previous employer, and reached out to him directly when I learned that the position was open. Because he knew my background, I believe he was able to quickly determine if I would be a good fit. He had suggested in the past that I apply, but I had declined.
2. Phone interview with Supervisor (to whom I directly reported).
3. In-person interview with Director, Supervisor, and another director with whom I'd be working regularly.
--- The "other" director was the head of application development. While I was not expected to know as much as his developers, I also was clearly out of my depth in terms of web application development knowledge. He was aware of this, and I believe he was more trying to assess how I would fit in with his team than how much I actually knew. It was the most stressful part of the interview, but I ended up working regularly with this director and his team, and that was one of the best parts of the company.
4. Phone interview with VP of my division.
