      Interview

I had two rounds of interviews, first with the recruiter who was engaging and conversational and then second with the hiring manager who was asking rigid generic interview questions in STAR format. Both conversations were littered with red flags and they both opened up the conversation by saying all the (negative) glassdoor reviews are quite true but tried to downplay it by saying it’s “fast paced and exciting”. My second interview was cut short with no time to ask questions and the next day I just received a generic automated rejection. I think I dodge a bullet there.

      Interview

My process with SharkNinja happened a few months ago, when I was very desperate for a job. I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter about three weeks after I applied to set up a phone interview. We set our time: a Wednesday in the early afternoon. I waited for the call from the HR representative, but she never called me. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I emailed her later on that day, telling her I'd be happy to reschedule. She emailed back, rescheduled a new time the next week, and I confirmed. One week later, I set aside time, planned on arriving late to an event I planned on going to for this interview, and waited. 10 minutes passed, then 20. She had stood me up again. I reached out to her the next day, telling her (again) I'd be happy to reschedule, but I never heard back from her. This process left a very bad taste in my mouth about this company and I will not be applying again in the future to avoid this hassle. I checked in a few months later and the job listing was still on the Careers website, so they had clearly not found someone to fill the spot, which makes me think something must be off about the hiring process here.
