I interviewed with a recruiter in the Hague, one on one, over the phone. The date was set a full month from the moment I was notified of getting through the first round. It was exactly as described in the different forums online, the questions were very predictable, but the interviewer did go very in-depth on specific examples to really drill down. I think it was a challenging but overall enjoyable interview. I was offered to proceed to the assessment day, but withdrew my application as I had received an offer from another firm. I had notified them of this two weeks earlier, but received no reply, and the ten workday window had passed, so I assumed I did not make it. The hiring manager phoned me personally to invite me to the assessment day, and to ask what kind of areas I was interested in. It was very personal and amicable, and she emphasized that if my other job did not work out, I could join an assessment day within the next 12 months, so I would not have to restart the process again. She sounded honestly sorry to see me go, but was very friendly.
