The interview process was lengthy, but moves very fast at Shield AI.
It started with an initial recruiter screen asking about my location preferences and simple resume questions.
After approval, I moved ahead to a technical discussion with the hiring manager, including my previous work experiences and what I was looking for in my next role. After passing, I then had a code pair programming interview with an engineer on my team working through a realistic project.
After passing this, I was moved to the on-site rounds. The on-site rounds took place in Frisco, TX, and involved a day-long interview with various engineers and managers on the team. The interviews included technical rounds, behavioral interviews, and a presentation on a former project I completed.
The process was intense, but satisfying. The interviewers were all extremely humble, and focused more on having a discussion with tradeoffs rather than a perfect solution.
