I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Shop Bonsai (Toronto, ON) in July 2020
Interview
Process was ok, very average. Technical test is huge though. They give you different options to develop during the test, but those harder obviously gives you "more points". Problem is their initial setup for the test is not 100% prepared, which makes you spend a lot of time only configuring stuff to finally do the desired task.
Also, different teams have made the same question more than once, which gives me the impression that they are not communicating properly during the process.
And the "final" interview took about 2 hours and 15 minutes. This is just too much time and absolutely exhausting.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we appreciate any feedback we receive to help us better our hiring process. Since July when you interviewed, we've streamlined our exercise and put a better system in place to avoid repeat questions with the team, so hopefully, people have a more positive experience in the future. We'll take note of the final interview time feedback for future interviews too.
Thanks again!

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Shop Bonsai (North York, ON)
Interview
Replied pretty quickly and received an assessment from them. Their email says “please feel free to reach out”, yet, when part of their assessment doesn’t work properly and I email them I get no response.

Interview
Their interview process is exactly as advertised in their job postings! A highlight and something I've never seen done before, were the 15min follow-up chats / retrospectives after each round of the interview process.
