I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Shopflo (Bangalore Rural) in Mar 2026
Interview
I got the interview through a referral. The interviewer did not make me feel comfortable at all. He asked me to write polyfills (JS). I wrote the first one and then I got a little stuck in the second one. They were random functions from Loadash. We were having a bug in second one which wasn't related to my function at all, there were 3 parts and i was done with first one.
It took us 20 mins to debug and when it worked I asked him out of curiosity why and he was like he is not sure. I thought okay that's fine.
We were times up and I knew that I will not make it to the next round, which is also fine.
But later on I got to know that he told HR that I couldn't solve anything. I didnt solve even one question. WHICH IS A LIE.
Later on i ot to know he has done the same with another candidate who was referred by someone else.
Not sure why he wouldnt pass anyone or what are their expectation from freshers.

Fairly easy and straightforward. They will assess your overall problem-solving skills rather than focusing on any specific technology. Make sure to discuss work hours, leave policies, and compensation in detail, and try to learn more about the product.
