      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Shopmium (London, England) in Apr 2022

      Interview

I have never been messed around so much by a company. The interview process itself was fine if a bit long (the introductory call lasted well over two hours). This was followed by a virtual presentation then an in person interview which lasted an hour and about 3 hours. After this I waited two entire weeks to be told that I hadn't got the job despite them insisting multiple times that 'they just needed to straighten things out' and asking for references (which I provided). In the end they didn't even give any feedback. The whole process was overdrawn, frustrating and needlessly time consuming. I would recomend proceeding with caution if you do interview there.

Good afternoon, thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear you found that your experience as a candidate was not positive. We always try to give the best candidate experience, and we usually give feedback to our applicants at the end of the recruitment process. And as we always want to improve ourselves, your feedback will be taken into account, for not missing any step going forward. We wish you all the best in your search of new opportunity. Best regards, Shopmium team

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Shopmium (London, England) in May 2023

      Interview

Applied through a recruitment agency. The process took 4-weeks. 1st stage - a 30min online chat getting to know the company, role and information about yourself. 2nd stage - This was also online, I was told to be available for a Google Meet interview where I will get case study questions 30-min prep and 30-min present. I waited 10 minutes just to find out that the Case Study questions were sent to me 2 minutes after my scheduled google meet. Which reduced the get-ready time. This needs to be communicated better! 3rd stage - In person, London office. 10-15min presentation followed by 45 minutes of good/bad cop interviewing. Overall very let down, as the feedback was all very positive at every stage, apart from not answering a question fully and getting told the training would take too many resources. If you don't have a background in FMCG, don't bother applying! Good luck!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do you want to work for us....why FMCG? What would you add or make better on our app? Why is our app better? What can it do? Have you used the app? How did you find it? Talk us through the entire journey. Why didn't you buy a specific product? Heavily orientated towards the app layout, features and improvements of the actual platform.
