I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SiFive (San Mateo, CA)
Interview
Horrible experience .
First talked to HR who was nice. I told him I want to 100% remote and he boasted so much about how Sifive is amazing and will let you work remotely.
Next spoke to Manager who was extremely rude. Showed up late for interview and then started firing away questions . Questions were on cache coherence , fibonacci,.
They ghosted me after this . Finally followed up with HR and he told me they had me mixed up and forgot to schedule follow up interviews with me .
They scheduled me for virtual onsite
1. 1st round - cache coherence, tomasulo, pipeline stages, question on writing assertion for req, ack
2. 2nd round - write code to verify cache
3. coding on kinked list, easy leetcode problem
4. 4th round - verify cache
Finally got email saying they want to hire me , but want me to move to another state.
I started this process by saying i want to be remote. BUt they wasted everybody's time. They must run a right ship at SiFive :)
