The position was initially available months ago when I interviewed the hiring manager. I was told that they were going withbother candidates.
Out of the blue, a few months later I was called to interview with cofounder and then was asked to come in for an in-person interview with presentation about my career and couple of technical projects I have done.
During the interview I was being asked a lot of questions about my previous employer as they were doing alot of similar things. I was skeptical at the beginning of the interview as they took a copy of my presentation. I held my ground and answered vaguely to respect intellectual property and tradesecrets.
I had a feeling they were trying to get “free consultants”. The interview process was a waste of time, and poorly organized, and they were totally unfit for the situation.
After investing 6+ hours of interview...I felt cheated.

Question 1
Can you work in a start-up knowing how crazy the hours and workload can be.
After the resume review, the candidate underwent an initial phone interview with the Chief of Staff. Following this conversation, the Chief of Staff consulted with the leadership team to determine whether to move forward with the candidate. If approved, the candidate received a job-related assignment designed to be completed within three hours.
Candidates who successfully passed the assignment were invited to the office for an in-person interview and a tour of the facilities. This stage of the process was conducted alongside other applicants for the same position and lasted approximately seven hours.
Following the in-person interviews, the leadership team deliberated on the candidates and subsequently extended an offer to the selected individual.

Call -> Take-home assignment -> Call. The assignment only took a few hours to complete and was relevant to the job. Keep in mind that it's a startup, not a huge company with a massive HR department.
