I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sift in July 2021
Interview
The interview process was organized very good. There were no exam questions at all. All interviews were like a technical grooming with the team. The most challenging was coding interview and system design interview.

Question 1
Please design ticketing system for football matches
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sift in Nov 2024
Interview
Tech screen with LeetCode style question then virtual onsite with Coding, Sys Design, Deep Dive, Behavioral.
During one round in virtual onsite, the interviewer had to step away for 5 to 10 minutes. Giving me less time to solve the challenge. Which I felt was unfair and out of my control. Having less time is why I feel like I did not get an offer due to having less "done" in comparison to other candidates.
It didn't matter to me too much anyway as I felt like there was an Offshore focused Work Culture. The Hiring Manager told me that the "offshore employees typically out performs the onshore employees." Which was really off-putting to me. I do not think I would want to work here anyway if there is such a strong preference for one over the other.

Question 1
Easy LeetCode - Tech Screen
Med-Hard - Coding
Design simple version of StubHub.
Tell me about a project that aligns with our business needs.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sift in Jan 2022
Interview
A representative from Sift contacted me about a position he thought I would be well suited for. I replied the same day but he took another 6 to get back to me. He scheduled a phone screening later in the week, which went well, and he told me he'd pass my Resume on to the team. 3 days later he got back to me and told me Sift "does not have a spot for your skillset" -- the exact skillset in the "What would make you a strong fit" of the job description. I asked him to elaborate on what else they were looking for, and he never replied.
