I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SigFig in Nov 2024
Interview
There were 4 rounds
1. Hiring manager - Mostly technical discussion on past experiences.
2. Three panel rounds with one guy from Tech. There's no order to interview rounds.
Interview rounds are not structured and each rounds doesn't depend on the previous.
Interviewed by 4 panelists, it took 2 weeks time. Interviewers are nice and HR will talk very nicely. But at the end even all the rounds went well I'm rejected as their requirements changed. Surprised! They will talk gently to you and at the end they will ghost you without informing your status. Make sure to call HR and follow up.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Panel1 - Write LLD for Portfolio management and give a list of trades
Panel2 - Design a system to handle online restaurant reservations. The system should be able to handle the following use cases:
1. List availability given number of people, time, and optionally a list of restaurants
2. Reserve a table given the number of people, time and restaurant
3. List a user's existing reservations
4. Cancel a user's reservation
Additionally:
Time frames are specified in 30 minute blocks (e.g. you can make reservations that start at 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, etc.)
Panel3 - Accounts Widget
You are writing the code for this Accounts Summary widget. This widget shows your Total Account Balance, as well as the individual balances for each of your accounts. In addition, it will show a SubTotal for each brokerage.
You have access to an API that returns a non-sorted JSON-encoded list of individual account balances as follows:
[{
"brokerageName": "Fidelity",
"account": "XXXX1423",
"balance": 12000.50,
},
{
"brokerageName": "Fidelity",
"account": "XXXX5678",
"balance": 2350.42
},
{
"brokerageName":"Etrade",
"account": "XXXX1111",
"balance": 11350.11
},
{
"brokerageName":"Etrade",
"account": "XXXX2899",
"balance": 1212.23
},
{
"brokerageName": "Scottrade",
"account": "XXXX2222",
"balance": 230012.23
},
...
]
Given that API, provide the code to output a list displaying the Account Balances, SubTotals, and Total, like so:
Account Total: 255713.26
Fidelity: 14350.92
XXXX1423 12000.50
XXXX5678 2350.42
Etrade: 12562.34
XXXX1111 11350.11
XXXX2899 1212.23
Scottrade: 230012.23
XXXX2222 230012.23
...
