I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sigma Space (Lanham, MD) in June 2015
Interview
15 minutes, no difficult questions, basically just described the position. They seem to make decisions on getting before you even come in for entry level jobs. Not like other companies that quiz you.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sigma Space (Crystal City, VA)
Interview
I met with the person I was replacing and the management team. Everyone was respectful of one another and friendly. Very professional, yet warm. The interview took place at the actual worksite I would be working so I got to meet some of the others there as well.

Question 1
Describe your ideal work situation? Few interviewers have the nerve to ask this anymore.
Applied through the University career website. Was contacted within 2 weeks setting up an interview. Went to the site and had a casual interview with the division manager, who then brought in the CEO to ask questions. After having my interview, I was offered a position about a week later, where then I worked as a contractor for 6 months and then was offered a permanent position.

Question 1
No unexpected questions. Just questions about technical electrical/mechanical knowledge. Also, how would you deal with uncooperative coworkers?
