I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Sigma Technology (Budapest)
Interview
I rolled with their selection process out of curiosity. They wanted to hire me from a competing company, which was already extremely unprofessional and a major red flag. They made us go through an elaborate and unnecessarily long test as part of their selection process. Most of the test were irrelevant from the perspective of the day to day work. I've been working in a senior position for 4 years. They offered a raise of around 80 Euros, and a junior position. I respectfully declined. They told me if they will have a more suitable position, they'll approach me in the future. TL;DR: They wasted hours from my life to offer cc. 80 Euros more and a position below my current one.
Really good interview experience. Felt like a conversation and not an interrogation. Writing test followed by a “normal” interview which included the standard interview questions you would find online. Prepare questions yourself for the end!
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sigma Technology (Lund, Skåne) in May 2018
Interview
A large set of regular questions regarding prior experience and education. Some generic, other specific. I had looked into a large set of tech consult companies that hires technical writers and even this did not have the best benefits it had other values down like, your boss has a direct contact with the customer, not lots of hierarchy, your boss has a vast experience in working in your field and knows how to define and clarify the work, the service and the skills.
