This process was overall pretty awful. I was contacted by a recruiter who did a basic phone screen. After that, i scheduled a coding challenge with Silverwork. The challenge was scheduled to last 3 hours. 15 minutes after the challenge was supposed to start, I had not heard from anyone, so I contacted my recruiter to attempt to reschedule. 15 minutes after that, 30 minutes after the challenge was supposed to start, someone from silverwork sent over a challenge anyway. The problem was not too difficult, just parsing a JSON file and running some basic statistical operations on it. Even though they were 30 minutes late, they only gave me 15 minutes extra to work on it. I finished after only 1 hour. 1 week after this, I had a phone call interview with someone on the team. This interview was to discuss my solution to the coding challenge. This round went well, and my recruiter told me I had another round scheduled for two days later. I did not receive a confirmation of time for this interview until 3 hours before the interview. I cannot remember the specifics of what we discussed, but I think it was just standard, non technical, just about previous projects. This round also went well, and after another week, I had an interview scheduled with the CEO. This was another round of just discussing my resume, the company, and time for any questions I might have had. It seemed at this point that they liked me a lot and they had no real complaints about my qualifications. I was told I would hear back after a day or two with an offer. Up to this point, the whole process had taken about 2.5 weeks. After two days passed with no word from Silverwork, I contacted my recruiter and he told me they needed just a few more days. Over the course of the next week, my recruiter tried contacting Silverwork to try to get a response, but they stopped responding even to my recruiter. After a week of him hearing nothing from Silverwork, my recruiter stopped responding to me. A week later, i found out he was on vacation. When he came back from vacation, he told me that Silverwork said to stop contacting with no other explanation. Overall this process took a little over a month. Based on this organizational structure, I cannot recommend even interviewing with this company. After building up my enthusiasm for 2.5 weeks, the company essentially ghosted me. They demonstrated a clear lack of professionalism or regard for others' time. Do not work here.
