I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Simon-Kucher (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2021
Interview
This was for a full-time position. Two rounds. First-found was a 45 minute case interview (15 min behavioral at the begin, 30 min case). Final round was with three partner-level members and each interview followed the same model as the first round. Not too difficult, the cases were really focused on pricing and there was a huge emphasis on taking the data from the entire case and pitching a final strategy recommendation.
My only complaint is that one of the interviewers in the final round was a complete jerk. I would never say that about any interviewer but this guy literally shot me down 5 minutes into the interview and failed me before we even really started. He asked why I wanted to do live sciences consulting and when he heard my motivations tie in with my aspirations to pursue a career in both medicine and business, he shot me down. He didn’t want someone who wanted to be a doctor to work with him since he didn’t see them as a long-term consulting colleague. I understood his point, but when you have doctors working within consulting in a multitude of capacities, I couldn’t agree with him. The way he continued with the interview was cold, condescending, and such a poor reflection of the company itself. I was completely shocked at his behavior and was appalled to see such a stark difference in company culture than what I had been told (I spoke with multiple employees on LinkedIn). However, since I still believe in the Simon-Kucher culture and work environment, I will reapply to a different office where hopefully I do see the true values and virtues of this company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Case questions focused on pricing and requiring a final recommendation driven by data from throughout the case.
starts off with behaviorals, really testing if you want to do consulting, then life sciences case, pretty difficult but still manageable. should be practicing casing + behaviorals to do well
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Simon-Kucher (London, England) in Sept 2025
Interview
first round was a online math test game SHL type tests, which wasn't too hard, second round was a HR interview with someone who didn't say much and very short, asked quite generic questions.

Interview
interview was very good the interviewer was including and asked a case. The case was very doable and guidance provided. The behavioral were simple and the case is important. Try to always have strategic thinking.
