I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Simon & Schuster (New York, NY) in June 2016
Interview
I went to their main nye office for a short interview of about 30 minutes. I did most of the talking, as she asked very open-ended questions: Why publishing? What department was I interested in? What are my favorite books? What did I do in my previous experience? Where do I want to end up? What have I enjoyed in my classes? After, I picked out a few books from their selection that I got to take for the road!
I applied online. I interviewed at Simon & Schuster in Jan 2025
Interview
I applied online and was invited to a Teams interview with the hiring manager and their manager and then second interview as a face to face one with the same people. However after the interview, there was no word from the company. Even after following up with the HR, there was no response. It is extremely unprofessional to ghost candidates after they spent time and energy to prepare and turn up at the interviews to then not informing them of the decision at the end of the process!
You apply, hear back a few weeks later, schedule the interview, and then after the interview you hear back a couple months later. It was a really slow and unorganized process.
