I interviewed at Simpson Associates (York, England)
Interview
Plagued with difficulty then shrugged off with my concern ignored.
An actual 30 minutes before said interview, I'd had a Video call with my Daughter, she wanted to wish me luck and to help me make sure my setup was working, which it was.
When I joined the actual interview, there was no sound or anything - I attempted to type a couple of messages, but it was clear they'd not seen even that. Knowing the Intervew was at least 45 minutes, and that I'd only been connecting for less than 5, I mimed making contact, dropped the call and then phoned the lady instead.
Was told that she'd already made a decision and that she'd get in tough with my recruiter.
Despite, knowing it wasn't my fault as I'd just tested, I got a bad feeling and no, was not put forward to a technical interview. Gutted as I'd rather gotten myself quite interested in the role and I am also a big fan of York.

We sincerely apologise for the frustration and disappointment you experienced during your interview process. We are sorry to hear about the technical difficulties you encountered and the subsequent lack of opportunity to showcase your skills and enthusiasm for the role.
Your dedication to ensuring your setup was working properly before the interview demonstrates your commitment to the opportunity. It's regrettable that despite your efforts in the call to resolve these, you were unable to effectively participate in the formal recruitment process. We fully understand how disheartening it must have been to not be able to fully engage in the interview process.
We take your feedback seriously and are actively working with our recruitment agency partner to ensure that any concerns prior to the interview are addressed prior to any interview with ourselves.
Once again, Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and we appreciate your understanding, wishing you every success in your next role.
