I interviewed at Singapore Tourism Board (Singapore)
Interview
was a very long process from Nov-April
first stage took like 2-3 months from the initial application and AI video recording
In person interview stage required a 1000 word essay and a presentation with a cost benefit analysis on the theme of "what do you think SG's tourism would look like in 2040", had Q&A too. Also had a lot of group activities.
Final stage was a panel interview with senior leadership in STB
Overall the process was overly slow, required way too much work and heard only 2-3 people get in each year.
Applied in October and completed a virtual interview and assessment shortly after. Despite following up, there was no response from HR for months.
In January, I was suddenly invited to a 5-hour assessment centre. Candidates were required to prepare slides in advance and present to a panel of more than 10 interviewers. This was followed by extended group activities. Some of the activities felt more like orientation-style games, and it was unclear what specific competencies were being assessed.
A specific date was given for when results would be released, but this timeline was not met. Instead, a standard rejection email was sent the next day with no personalised feedback.
The entire process took close to five months from application to rejection. The level of time and preparation required from candidates was significant, but communication, transparency, and timeline management were lacking. Applicants should be prepared for a prolonged and uncertain process.
Bad, interviewers are not friendly and candidates are aggressive. Overall, not a good experience. People there are not exactly too nice and i wouldnt want to go back again. Need to prepare more as people there prepare a lot.
