The interview process was fairly straightforward; the questions from HR were appropriate. However, there were several red flags that concerned me. First, I was told that there are no women on the physics team, which I found worrying given the importance of diversity in the workplace. Second, my application for the Sioux 26th September Seats to Meet Event was declined because I'm not a Dutch national. The rejection email simply stated this without asking if I'd be willing to cover my own travel and stay costs, or any other questions about potential relocation. This felt contrary to the company’s goal of being internationally inclusive, and it wasn't mentioned during the application process that the event was limited to Dutch nationals. Another point of concern was that my name was incorrectly used twice in official emails, where I was called by a completely different name. This lack of attention to detail in professional communications made me question the company's level of respect and professionalism towards potential candidates.
