4 rounds including phone screen, technical take-home challenge, meeting with a team member and final on site round table. Technical take home focused on Python and SQL with ML questions

I applied online via LinkedIn and a recruiter reached out to me a couple days later. The initial phone screen went well, and then was an interview with the manager. That went well as well, and they sent me a take-home to complete. This take-home took way longer than expected, but I finished within a week and sent it back. Two weeks with no response. I had genuinely forgot about the process until the recruiter emailed me, saying that they'd like to interview me for a final round. Final round consisted of four interviews, 3 of them being data scientists and one HR round. For some reason, they scheduled the HR round last. The 3 data science interviews went well, they asked me about my past experience and one asked me some technical questions as well. Come the day of the HR interview however, the recruiter called me and said the interviewer wasn't feeling too well and had to reschedule. I didn't think too much of it at first, but then the recruiter stopped responding when I sent my schedule. They didn't respond for almost two weeks... Then I got the rejection. A no-reply rejection too. I hadn't even finished the interview round and they decided to reject me? My guess is that they were waiting out on other candidates and found a better candidate, but you can't just leave someone in the dark for that long. At least go through with the final interview... I spent more than a month interviewing for this company, and for it to end like this just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Be careful when you interview here, you don't know what to expect.
