I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skillz in Dec 2023
Interview
Filled out an application and then received a request from a recruiter to do a case study/exercise. She stated upon successful completion there could be an interview. After spending hours on the exercise, I got a templated decline with no feedback or personal word from the recruiter.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Skillz (Las Vegas, NV) in Jan 2025
Interview
Three-round process that included an initial video call with the recruiter, a second video call with the hiring manager, then an onsite panel interview with the recruiter, hiring manager, and 1-2 additional stakeholders.

Question 1
Process improvements, biggest career risk, wins/opportunities, how to write a boolean string, sourcing demonstration via LinkedIn Recruiter.
Had an initial call with a Recruiter. It was shared that the role would begin as a 6-month remote contract with the possibility of conversion to full-time, but this information was not listed in the job posting. The call was also only 15 minutes and geared toward prep for a take-home test. This left no time for questions about the role, company, or team, and no questions were asked about me or my experience. The Recruiter was friendly, but the process felt misleading. It would've been nice to learn a bit more before committing to a multiple-hour take-home test.
