Interview
I applied for a position titled “Social Media Assistant”, which lead me to believe it was a full-time salaried job. Halfway through my interview, my interviewees let me know that it was in fact a four-month contract (with possibility of extension), hourly pay (which was exactly what I was making at the internship I already was at), and referred to by the company as a “super-internship”. Nowhere on the job site was the word “super-internship” mentioned. After taking a day off from the company I was working for at the time, I was so put off by the deception and bait-and-switch that I didn’t accept the offer.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Skirt PR (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2015
Interview
The interview process was very easy. The first was a simple phone interview where they asked basic questions, such as my internship experience and any other PR experience I might have. They asked me why they thought they should hire me and who some of my favorite bloggers were. The next step was to write a pitch letter. About a week later, I found out I got the internship. I believe the interview process took total 10 days.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skirt PR (Chicago, IL)
Interview
I had to take a writing test before I could come in for a face to face interview. I met the president, who was a doll and then I sat down with two account executives and it was only like a 30 minute interview. The managers were sweet. We basically just talked about my past experiences and what I was hoping to accomplish through the internship.
