I applied online. I interviewed at SkySlope in June 2018
Interview
I applied to SkySlope after finding about them online. At the time, I was planning to relocate to Sacramento anyway but was 3 months away from doing so. I had a Skype call screen with the tech recruiter, and it seemed that all was going well. They pressed on knowing my salary range upfront, so I gave them my range which they seemed comfortable with. Since they were understandably trying to fill the position immediately, after the call, I was told to check back in in a couple months closer to when I would be relocating so that I could take the technical online quiz. I followed up, and I was sent the link to the quiz as well as a list of company benefits. I took the quiz at home, which consisted of 1 relatively easy question and 2 difficult questions to complete within an hour. It automatically scored me based on how many test cases I solved correctly based on its automatic scoring algorithm. I'll detail the worst part of the interview process below.
I guess they didn't want to continue the interview process with me; I was ghosted after taking the online quiz! If they had the decency to at least send me a rejection email, I might have given this an overall neutral rating, but I heard absolutely nothing from them (I am writing this review over a year later, with no response still). Frankly, this is very disrespectful, and it's companies like these that contribute to the fatigue of job seekers in my shoes. Therefore, I have no choice but to rate this experience negative overall.
