First step was a technical assessment that you do on your own time. The next step was an hour long virtual interview where they asked standard behavior questions and then had you go over your answers to the technical assessment. Then they asked a few technical HTML questions and a couple broader level objected oriented programming questions.

Question 1
What is the most difficult bug you encountered in a project? How long did it take you to debug?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Skyward
Interview
About a week after applying, I received an email to complete a technial exam. I was given 4 days to submit the exam, and 48 hours to complete it once started. The exam was 3 questions, two LC-style questions and one SQL question, took maybe an hour. The day after submitting my exam, I was sent an email asking to schedule an interview. Unfortunately, the soonest I could schedule it was two weeks away from the day I received this interview so I had to play a significant waiting game, but, what can you do. The interview was half behavioral, half technical. Mostly standard behavioral questions, and the technical portion was reviewing my answers to the technical exam, a few questions regarding my familiarity with languages, understanding code, and I was asked to share my screen and write a small function in a text editor or IDE of my choice. The interview took just over an hour.
I was told that I'll hear back within two weeks, and if invited for a second interview with the VP of programming and a Lead Engineer, those will focus more on soft skills and personality. I was assured that the technical side of reviewing my answers, interpreting code, and writing code, was over. I was not offered a second interview, and was given no feedback on why I was not selected to continue.

Question 1
Describe a time when you were helping a non-technical person with a technical problem - how did you get them to understand what the problem was and how to resolve it?

Interview
Take home coding challenge, then you are questioned about that during interview. The interview is half behavioral, half technical. But, they also require your references to submit feedback for you and expect that to be ready before interview. This is overkill and unnecessary and cause you to burn your credits with your references as they have to spend maybe 5-10 min each to provide feedback through their system. They should have done this only after they consider making offer not before an interview.
